    MONTESSORI AND HER METHOD

Montessori education was founded in 1907 by Maria Montessori, the first female physician in her country. Dr. Montessori conducted numerous scientific researches and formed her theories from observation of children's learning process. She believed that the goal of early education should be to cultivate children's natural desire to learn instead of filling them with facts from a pre-selected course of studies. Now, almost a century since its introduction, Montessori education is found throughout the world.
