Guidelines for Successful Partnerships in school

  1. Have your child wash their hands before meals and after touching anything the public has touched. Germs that cause common colds and flu can be picked up from door knobs and handrails
  2. Make sure your child to avoid rubbing their eyes or noses with dirty hands. These openings are two of the many routes that viruses can take to find their way into our bodies
  3. Keep a good distance from affected person, preferably five feet.
  4. Establish proper hygiene practices that are critical to achieving optimal health.
  5. Some experts suggest avoiding antibacterial soaps. They believe that the antibacterial compounds found in many of these soaps may be contribution to the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria. These soaps remove protective bacteria from our hands also.
