Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s)

This is the final newsletter for the year. I would just like to thank everyone for a wonderful year. Student's have learned a tremendous amount this year and have had an enjoyable time doing it. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer. I look forward to the start of a new year come September 6th. Hope to see you all then.

Year Book
We have received great support for our 2004/2005 yearbook. Yearbooks will be available on June 28th for pick up. If you have not already done so please quickly order your yearbook in the office as we will only be printing as many yearbooks as are preordered. The cost of the yearbook is 10 dollars.

Character Building
June's character building theme has been 'Trustworthy.' We have been having lessons and activities throughout the month to reinforce our theme. Please take the time to review with your child what being 'trustworthy' means. Some activities you can do at home are to draw a picture of what being trustworthy means or to write a short story or poem about trust.

Teacher Corner
"I feel very blessed to be able to teach at Yip's for the past academic year. It has been a year of fun and excitement for me. During the past year I've seen great improvements in all the students. We have sung, danced, played and learned together. We have all grown to know each other so much better. The student's have learnt so much and I am so happy to play a small part in their learning process. My students are all future superstars to me and I know they will succeed as they continue to learn and grow. I will miss them all during the summer. Have a great and happy summer everyone!" - Candy Fung

Student Corner
"I like studying at Yips Elementary because it is a lot of fun. Yip's is great because we have good lesson and fun classes. My favorite field trip was to the Royal Ontario Museum. We went to the Bat Cave and it was lots of fun. My favorite thing about Yips Elementary is our gym class. I enjoy my school because its fun." - LeAnn Chan

Parent Corner
"I am so impressed with the Yip's Elementary curriculum, which emphasizes language, music and the whole mind development. These are very important in developing our children's talent. As parents, nothing is more important than hearing your child say 'I am so happy in school.' Yip's provides many variety of subjects to fulfill all our children's needs such as dance, instrument, music, Gym, drama, language, computer studies, and so on. Honestly speaking, I really enjoy and feel proud when my son speaks Mandarin to me. One of the extraordinary strengths of Yips is the teaching staff. The teachers are professional, kind, caring and strong educators. They strongly believe in each child's ability to learn and they work with the children individually. I would like to thank Yip's for giving my son many opportunities to perform different kinds of activities such as drama, Chinese poem, singing and so on. Those make him more confident in front of people. I still remember he cried on the stage when he is 4 years old." - Vincent Lai

Sincerely,

Christian Bayly
