Field Trip
This is just a reminder that on March 30th the elementary and pre-grade 1 students will be traveling to the Ontario Science Centre. The bus will be departing at 9:30 am and we will be returning around 4:00 pm. Lunch will be included. We will be having a presentation on Structures in the afternoon by the Science Centre staff. Please be at school on time as we will be on a tight schedule.

Character Building
March's character building theme has been 'Responsibility'. We have been having lessons and activities throughout the month to reinforce our theme. Please take the time to review with your child what responsibility means and how to best express it to friends and family.

Report Cards
This is just a reminder about your child's report card. Please take the time to carefully read your child's report card and the comments included. The third page has an area where you or your child can write comments about the report card. Please sign the third page and return it promptly to the school. Please indicate also on the third page if you would like to have an interview with either your child's homeroom teacher or with one of the other subject teachers. Interviews will be held the following week on April 4th, 5th and 6th in the evening. Interview sign up sheets are available in the office.

Special Dates
Please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday April 3rd. Also keep in mind that the early Registration deadline for the following academic year is on Monday April 4th. On Wednesday April 6th we will be having our music festival at the school. This will begin at around 4:30 in the afternoon. Please come out to support your child in their artistic endeavors.

Building a Garden
Many have proposed building a garden for our students on our school property. Students will take turns tending and participating in the care of the garden. This will provide endless educational possibilities for the students in many academic areas. We will begin work on this project in May.

Year Book
At our last parent meeting it was proposed that we should have a year book for this past academic year. In order to do this we would like to solicit your assistance on this project. If there are parents who have time to volunteer to work on this project please contact the office for details.

Special Thanks
I would just like to extend a special thank you to all the parents who have donated books to our library system. We appreciate all the donations and are currently working to make our library system more accessible to all our students.
